While I was shopping for food yesterday the lady at the service desk ask me if I wanted a dozen free roses. Of course I said yes. So I got a dozen free red roses. They were starting to wilt so they were giving them away. There was only one in the bunch that showed any wear. I like roses.
Tomorrow we have to travel to Iowa to see the new addition to the Bob Erickson family. Oh great fun??? I will have to try to keep Gramps away from the little guy. Gramps has a cold and it has settled in his chest.
We got the tree cut down that Gramps wanted to take out. The guy also trimed the rest of the trees in the yard.

I guess that's one way to get roses
I ran into a similar situation last week. I was meeting a friend for dinner and she had just gotten engaged so I stopped in to Hy-Vee to get her some flowers. When I brought the dozen roses out of the cooler the lady said that I could pick out another dozen because they were buy one - get one "Free"! I was so excited. And they were beautiful for Easter too!
