An outing.

I needed food in the house so the norsky took me to the grocery store. WHAT A TRIP!!!!!
We get to the store and the first thing I see that I needed was coffee. Well the kind I wanted was down the stack three layers. By that time the norsk had parked the car and was comming in the store. I pointed to the can I wanted and he said can't you take one of the others NO I said so he dug the can out for me. I went whizzing through the store putting stuff in the cart and he would pi
ull it out and compare brands and prices. I know my groceries. He would ask the dumbest questions. How irritating. Then he ask me "Did you get them biscuts I like". Ah what biscuts I ask? I don't buy biscuts. Come to find out he was thinking of english muffins. As we were wandering thro the store he started asking if I had flour, sugar, ect. I ask why Well he was going to make cookies. Date filled cookies. I had gotten the stuff in the cart already because I knew I needed them. Well we finally got the food and in the car, so off the Culvers we went for lunch. I ordered a kids meal of chicken strips, so did he. We got to the table and he ask me what was wrong with the chili. So I ask him is there something wrong with it. Well you always get chili. I told him I didn't feel like chili. Ok so we get thro the meal and get home. He unloaded the groceries and I put them away. Oh by the way this is done on cruches.
Ok the grocries are done. He is in the kitchen messing around. I can hear pots and pans clanging around. I think I better go out and see what is going on. He has my biggest mixing bowl with all the dry ingredients in it for date filled cookies. Before that I found him looking in my betty crocker for the recipt. Any way I told him you usually start out with creaming the shortening and sugar then do the dry stuff. So I get on the puter to take my mind off what is going on in my kitchen. Here he comes and he can't find the shortening, it's not in the fridge. Well no it's in the cupboard. So I go out and show him where it is. Back to the puter, in he comes with the bowl of very soupy looking stuff and asks if it is creamed enough. Well there were big chunks of shorting floating around. By the way he was creaming the stuff with a wire whisk. I told him he should have started out with just the shortening and sugar and with the electris mixer to cream it. This was after I got done laughing.
Then he comes in again and asks if he should dump all the flour mixture in at once. I said no a little at a time. Well he finally got it mixed and it is now in the fridge. He is going to bake then today. He still has to make the date filling. that will be interesting.
Tune in tomorrow for the rest of the story.

Later Gator
